The Merrimack enters Task Force 72's Area of Operations and is assigned to escort a convoy of merchant ships. Breen Raiders are everywhere and will attack the slightest inkling of provocation. Will the crew of the Merrimack survive their first mission in Breen Space?

A mission to deliver the materials to build an Embassy on the fringe of Breen territory brings the Merrimack and her crew within enemy lines hoping their peace delegation is observed by the Breen ship captains. A small unexplained incident takes place on the surface and the investigation is hampered by the forces foreign and domestic.

The USS Merrimack is currently docked and awaiting repairs at Starbase 80, otherwise known as Redemption. Having successfully beaten off a Breen Raid, it seems to be a Pyrrhic victory, hundreds of Federation crew have been stolen away by the cold-blooded enemy. Now, Starfleet's Finest must find a way to find the Breen Raiders and take back their people. What waits in store for them?

The crew meets at Deep Space Ten where the USS Merrimack is being repaired. While the refit takes place, they must crew their ship in any way possible. Once done, a Shakedown Cruise must take place and certain things don't go the way they were supposed to. Major and minor glitches occur, worrying everyone and causing them to turn toward the nearest shore. However, their destination, Sabik Station, is not responding. Something has gone awry and it is up to the Merrimack's crew to pull through together.

The USS Merrimack sails for Task Force 72 space and into an ongoing battle between the Federation Forces of Starbase 80 and Breen raiders. A considerable force of warships convene in the space near the Starbase some know as Redemption. Joining the Starbase's recently cobbled Star Fighter Detachment, the Intrepid-class Explorer USS Hale, and the Norway-class Light Cruiser USS Jutland, the Merrimack must contend with a overpowering Breen Carrier Battlegroup. What fate awaits the crews of Starfleet's finest?
